As a Community Interest Company our volunteers are our lifeblood, and we are always in need of committed, talented people to help us at our activities, events and behind the scenes. Wherever your talents lie, and whatever your reasons for volunteering, we would love to have you on board!

You may want to volunteer to give your CV a boost, gain some work experience or keep one foot in the world of work while you are raising a family or retired. You may want to give back to your community, make a difference in the world or make new friends. At Raspberry Creatives we offer the chance to become part of an exciting, fun, forward thinking organisation, as we work to reduce social isolation, mitigate the effects of the cost of living crisis and encourage wider access to the arts, social and play opportunities. Whether you want to work quietly at admin in our office, creating props and costumes or keeping our resources organised or be in the thick of it at our events, festivals and activity sessions, you will be a valued part of something bigger when you become part of the Raspberry Creatives Family!

Roles and Tasks

We recognise that everyone has different talents and skills to offer and also that different environments suit different people! If you are interested in volunteering with us we will take the time to get to know you and find out what will work best for you.

Some of our roles and tasks could include

Admin, research, social media, phone calls, keeping our website updated and fundraising
Preparing for events and activities - cutting out, designing, making props, organising resources
Helping to keep our equipment and resources clean, organised and stored
Running stalls, running our nerf gun shooting range, assisting with crafts, games, play and circus skills
Planning and leading activities in your particular skill set
Face painting, glitter tattoos, story telling, performing, sports coaching, karaoke and lots more
Travelling with us to assist at festivals and shows
We are also looking for volunteer Directors for our board to help run and develop Raspberry Creatives

What can we offer you?

At Raspberry Creatives we take our work very seriously but we believe in having a lot of fun whatever we're doing!
We have funding to enable us to offer you a personalised training package to suit your needs and support your ambitions
We will offer you support and encourage your personal development, including references, CV enhancement and work experience
We pay out of pocket expenses including travel, food and on occaision accomodation at festivals and shows!
You will have lots of opportunities to learn new skills, enhance existing skills and use your talents and ideas. Whether you've always wanted to learn to juggle, have a go at mime, create works of art with needlefelting or get involved in event management, we have opportunities to get involved and grow.
We are passionate about establishing a strong, inclusive and happy team so you will have the chance to make friends and take part in social and team building events including craft classes, circus classes and family picnics!
Most of our events are family friendly and wherever safe and possible we make arrangments for volunteers to bring their children along.

What do we need from you?

We are looking for committed, dedicated people from all walks of life to join us on this journey. You will be passionate about making a difference in people's lives and hold the belief that we can improve our society by giving of ourselves and looking after each other. It is essential to us that you are able to get fully behind our ethos and way of delivering our services. We are fully welcoming and inclusive to people of all races, ethnicities, abilities and everyone within the LGBTQ+ communities. We believe that everyone is a full member of society and deserving of inclusion in the arts, leisure and community. We support, encourage and treat everyone with compassion and care. We meet everyone where they are and deal with problems and conflict with compassion and understanding. We are committed to keeping everyone safe physically, emotionally and mentally and making reasonable adjustments for anyone with additional needs.

We take safeguarding very seriously and some of our roles will require a DBS (Criminal Record) check. We will talk this through with you if needed.
